How does the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) Function?
IVR. Interactive Voice Response is a mature technology which helps thousands of companies worldwide to take care automatically of all telephone calls and to consult or handle data base in order to provide information in the form of a voice. The IVR permits that the information found in its servers to be available to the public who request it.
How does an IVR operate?
The IVR responds to voice tones and/or commands, obtains information from its data base and provides it to the user in voice form . Our IVR’s operates with voice recognition technology and transforms the text to a voice.
Operation Flow:
- The user can utilize any telephone to access the application. Makes a call and the Merc@tel assigns it to the server where the application is. Merc@tel sends a request to the URL site via Internet or LAN through a WEB server. The WEB server resends the text immediately to Merc@tel.
- Merc@tel executes the program by reading the data and giving the requested information to the user.
Advantage of an IVR:
- Better service to the client. It reduces the waiting line and time of response. Reduces the percentage of calls that are not taken responded. Increases the number of calls that are being taken care of. It permits a 24 hour service. Immediate access without waiting time. Lower cost per call taken care of.
